Dr. Elsa I. Correa, MD is a Psychiatry Specialist in Reisterstown, MD, and has over 49 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Correa is a Board - Certified Psychiatrist in the State of Maryland since 1982. Her Residency and Clinical Fellowship was in Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, with an emphasis in Affective Disorders, at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She was an Attending at Francis Scott Key Medical Center. At the same time, she worked as Director of the Affective Disorders Specialty of the Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Correa was then nominated as the Unit Director of the Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, where she remained for the next seven (7) years. In 1991, she was appointed Director of ECT Suite at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she worked for over three (3) years. Throughout her career at Johns Hopkins from 1981 to 1994, Dr. Correa continuously conducted several clinical research projects and was an Assistant Professor of the Johns Hopkins Faculty. In 1999, she worked at Franklin Square Hospital as Director of the Eastern Community Mental Health Center and transitioned to Director of the Psychiatric Outpatient service for over six (6) years. Dr. Correa has been working as the Medical Director for Chesapeake Behavioral Health Center, LLC since 2005. Languages: Spanish and English
